Organizing Elizabethtown College Open Houses
Together with full-time staff members at the Office of Admissions, I was in charge of preparing the College and community for all major open house and accepted student day events on campus. This recruitment events would at times attract over 1,000 people to a campus designed to accommodate around 2,000 students at a time. Because of this, it was necessary to make sure all planning was scrutinized and perfected before families set foot on campus
My primary job for these recruitment events was to coordinate the student staff members of the Office of Admissions, of which there were about 85 at any given time, and assign them to specific tasks around campus to help families throughout the day. I would also manage family tours throughout the day, making sure all prospective students and families felt welcome and accommodated during their time at Elizabethtown.
