Etownian logo
Redesigned and restructured the Etownian’s logo to appear more professional and exist better alongside the redefined mission and content within the newspaper.
While printing excessive drafts of logos to try and appeal to both print and online readers, I made the decision to make our online and print logos different, however similar enough to still be recognizable as the same brand.
The online logo features a three-dimensional, more dynamic effect, while the print logo is created solely to appear well on the page. Both are much different than the cartoon-like former piece that was featured both in the print edition and online. I also chose to use neutral colors with each, so that the logo would not blend with dynamic content on the page, but would instead fall to the back of the reader’s eye so they can concentrate on the features we truly want them to engage with.
